Heaven on Earth , Northern Areas of Pakistan
Hello Friends and reader from Skardu We wanted to reach Gilgit (Northern Areas) But unfortunately, a land sliding caused road blockage. So we reached back to Skardu after taking a 7 km detour. Today's plan is simple: Somehow, we have to get to Karakoram Highway (KKH) near Gilgit. Since I've to go to Fairy Meadows, I'll have to reach KKH anyway. Today we are not taking the Gilgit Skardu main road b ecause we don't know when the landslide will be cleared. Although it's expected to be cleared by noon, but it's not confirmed. Workers on road are blasting rocks in order to construct new road. So there are loose rocks and which causes landslides every now and then. In order to avoid that risk, we'll go back using the Deosai road. This route is exceptionally beautiful but it's lengthy. However, there are a few spots here which are vulnerable to land sliding . Jerusalem and Palestine visit
West Jerusalem Just outside the wall of the Old city, We are having Breakfast and afterwards, we go to explore the old city. Jerusalem is divided into East and West Part Western Part is mainly Jewish area and Eastern Part is an Arab area. T he road used to be border before the war of 1967. East Jerusalem was part of Jordan. That metro line was an actual border and on the building behind the line there are still some bullets holes from Jordan and Israelian war. Old Jerusalem is very small, only 1 Sq. Km. I t is divided into 4 quarters Armenians are also Christians. T hey have a separate quarter and churches. Muslim Quarter is the biggest and then Jews quarter. The old city has 8 gates, 7 Gates are opened and every Quarter has a one or two gates.
